Chuck Levine (Adam Sandler) is a lady’s man who works as a firefighter. His sizeable friend Larry Valentine (Kevin James) also a firefighter, is a widower who is takes be enamoured of of his two children. The two have a close call which results in Larry saving Chuck’s time. While in the hospital Chuck saves he’s forever in liability to Larry and offers to do whatever favor he asks for. When Larry is told he can’t name his two children as his old-age pension beneficiaries he asks Chuck for that favor. He asks Chuck to make known that he is Larry’s domestic partner, Chuck reluctantly agrees and the two are married in Niagara Falls. Fair when they thought they had pulled it off, a city official is sent to examine. That's when Alex McDonough (Jessica Biel) comes into the photograph. The two firefighters are forced into many uncomfortable situations in attempts to sway everyone their partnership is genuine. In the process of all of this Chuck begins to failure for Alex, further complicating situations. The two men end up in court, and essentially learn a valuable lesson.
Ion Television acquires major films
Ion Telly said it has acquired more than 40 feature film titles, including Miami Transgression, through multiple theatrical film deals with NBC Universal and Warner Bros.
Ion TV is a national entertainment network and subsidiary of West Palm Coast-based Ion Media Networks , which is currently working through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The newly acquired titles will start airing later this month and will continue to roll out on Ion Tube’s schedule throughout the fall and into 2010, Ion stated. Some of the most fresh films are from 2006 and 2007.
The package from NBCU includes “The Separate from Up,” starring Jennifer Anniston and Vince Vaughan, “Miami Immorality,” starring Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx, and “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,” starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James, asset the “Back to the Future” trilogy, “Innards everted Man” and “The Hitcher.”
