MAYS Quay - The jury can hear about the criminal backgrounds of two former co-defendants who will be witnesses in a mangle trial, but not what charge they pleaded to, a Superior Court adjudicator ruled Monday.
Victor Marrero, 23, will go on exploratory Tuesday for the brutal May 9, 2006, slaying of Roberto Feliciano, 45. The schnook's longtime live-in girlfriend, Anita Pratts, once upon a time pleaded guilty to her part in the killing. Co-defendant Robin Perez admitted he stabbed Feliciano. Marrero is accused of using a chief pipe to beat the Atlantic City man.
Pratts and Perez are currently serving sentences for aggravated manslaughter, lowered from genocide.
