Drug investigation leads to Norfolk gun cache seizure

NORFOLK

Watch and a traffic stop by drug investigators last week led to the impounding of 34 rifles, shotguns and handguns, and weapons and numb charges against a 30-year-old city man, police said at a morning expos conference today.

The weapons cache was one of the largest seized by boys in blue in recent years, said Capt. David Huffman, commanding cop of the vice and narcotics division. The guns came from the have suspicions about’s residence and a rented storage facility, he said. Several were reported stolen.

Megalopolis police are further testing the weapons to see whether any have been used in unsolved crimes, and working with the federal Writing-desk of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to expand the interrogation, Huffman said.

Nominum plans to betoken today a novel DNS security capability that functions like a spam blacklist, providing automated, heartfelt-time checking of DNS queries against a list of Web sites that are known to be malicious.

How DNS cache poisoning works

Nominum's Trusted Reply and Universal Enforcement (TRUE) architecture is already in use by several ISPs supporting a combined 100 million broadband households. Nominum wouldn't mark these ISPs, but its Web site says its carrier customers tabulate Verizon, Sprint, NTT Communications and other major industry players.

Now Nominum is making its third-era DNS software that features the TRUE architecture available to corporations and other venture customers.
